This week, Stacey, 28 from Roath has kindly written a blog for us about her icon Kim Kardashian-West and how she was inspired to get the Vampire Facelift® by the super celebrity.
We’re living in a world that has become obsessed with celebrities. Young people seem to know more about the Kardashians than politics and current affairs. It’s hardly surprising really, as every corner of the internet you turn, you see the Kardashians. They get a lot of stick from haters on the internet, but I really admire them. They are the ultimate brand. The cult of celebrity doesn’t shock me one bit either. Young people are criticised for being so disconnected with politics but with many left disheartened after the recent referendum results, it’s no shocker that my generation would rather keep an eye on the ins and outs of Kim and her family.
I have no qualms about admitting that Kim Kardashian West is my hero. I believe she’s a great role model for young women. Perhaps she epitomises the whole ’famous for being famous’ thing. Perhaps she has flashed skin more times than myself a feminist would care to remember. However, I have a lot of time for Kim and believe young girls everywhere could learn a lot from her. Why? Because Kim is her own brand. She hasn’t succeeded in a male driven world despite being a woman, but because she is a woman. Every young woman, or male has the potential to be their own brand. Social media has given us a platform to promote our lives to the rest of the world. Kim has cleverly cashed in on this, with millions of fans across the world following every aspect of her life. She has connected with young people across the country, something politicians have struggled to do.
I’m very interested in fashion. I follow Kim Kardashian and many other female celebrities to see what clothes they’re wearing and how they’ve done their hair and makeup. Although image isn’t the be all and end all, it’s important to me. That’s why when I found out Kim Kardashian had something called a Vampire Facelift, I was more than curious to discover more about it. The idea of cosmetic surgery freaks me out. I see celebrities who have had cosmetic surgery and the results aren’t often flattering. I personally wouldn’t go under the knife as I think cosmetic surgery can produce unnatural results. Oh no, I thought to myself! Kim is beautiful, she doesn’t need surgery! She’s denied having surgery before so I was surprised when I read she’d chosen to go under the knife.
However, I was relieved to learn that the Vampire Facelift isn’t traditional surgery after all. The Vampire Facelift is a non-evasive treatment that can be done in the space of a lunch hour. The treatment works by taking a small amount of blood from the patient (hence the name of the treatment) and spinning this blood in a special medical machine until red and white blood cells have separated. This produces a plasma which stimulates the growth of more cells. The blood is then reinjected into the face and the magic begins!
It may sound scary, and some of the pictures of the treatment look a little scary, but the effect is breathtaking. The skin looks amazing. You’re left looking fresh and more youthful thanks to the stimulation of new cells. As you haven’t gone under the knife, you’re left with a more natural look.
I’d never heard of a treatment like this before seeing an article about Kim having it done. I certainly hadn’t considered any treatment, but the Vampire Facelift was stuck in my head. I’d become fascinated with the latest celebrity trend.
I researched Vampire Facelift Treatment in Cardiff, and was thrilled to discovered that Bamboo Aesthetics, a local aesthetics clinic on my doorstep offered such treatment. I had my reservations of course. Why would you want to inject your face with your own blood? It seemed a little scary to me, but I couldn’t deny the results I’d seen. From all the search results for Vampire Facelift Treatment in Cardiff, it appeared that Bamboo would be the best place to go so I picked up my mobile and gave them a call. I knew my friends would try and talk me out of the treatment so I didn’t tell anyone – not even my mum!
During a consultation with Dr. Dan, I was told that my skin would be smoother and all around clearer. Dr. Dan told me that he was astonished just how many people had contacted the practice since Mrs. Kardashian West had the treatment. I was convinced and ready!
Two weeks later, I headed back to the practice for the treatment. I was astonished just how little it actually hurt. I was expecting it to be painful but for a short amount of time. Truth be told, I’d let my imagination run away with me, and during the actual procedure, I felt nothing! After the treatment, i looked red. In fact, the redness after was probably, for me, the only negative of the treatment. I looked like I’d fallen asleep in the sun. Luckily, I had the week off work, and the redness wore off after about 24 hours.
I saw the clip from Kim’s TV show where she had the treatment, and she complained a lot during it. However, my Vampire Facelift Treatment in Cardiff experience was completely different. Perhaps she was playing up to the cameras, because I can’t understand why she made such a fuss!
Within a week, my skin had honestly never looked as good. I told my friends and family as soon as the redness had gone down, and they were shocked to say the least. They asked why I’d go through such a thing, but now that the results have become a lot more apparent, they understand. They might not be rushing for Vampire Facelift Treatment in Cardiff any time soon, but they haven’t stopped complimenting the new me. I’d recommend this treatment to anyone as it’s made such a huge impact on my life!
