Lip Enhancement at Bamboo Aesthetics

The past few months have seen a record number of patients at the clinic. One of those was Lucile Smith, 28 from Pontypridd. Although she didn’t do the lip challenge herself, Lucile wanted bigger and plumper lips like Kylie Jenner. She dropped by to tell us more.

Hi Lucile, thanks for joining us today. Your lips are looking great! What brought you to Bamboo over other aesthetics clinics?

Thanks for inviting me. Well, first thing’s first, I drive past your bright orange sign on my way to work every morning. I always assumed Bamboo was only a dental practice. A friend of mine recently had teeth whitening at your practice, and she said the receptionist was talking to her about anti-wrinkle treatment too. When I decided I wanted fillers, I checked online to see if you did them. I looked at another aesthetics clinic in Cardiff but Bamboo’s triple award winning team won me over. If someone’s injecting stuff into your face, you want it to be by someone you can trust!

Absolutely. So what made you want Lip Fillers?

I had really thin lips. School was sometimes tough because of that. Some of the boys would take the mickey out of me for it. Not that I was interested in them anyway. The girlies never said anything but you know they’re thinking it. I used to joke about my lips before anyone else had the chance to. It’s a bit embarrassing but I thought no one would want to kiss me because I had thin lips. When I was much younger, I never thought I’d find a boyfriend because of my lips. My favourite film is Sleeping Beauty. My brother once told me If I was in Sleeping Beauty, I’d be under that curse forever because Prince Charming wouldn’t be able to find my lips. That was hurtful. Funny but hurtful.

So you needed Bamboo to wake you from that curse?

Absolutely!

Tell us a bit about your experience at Bamboo. How was it?

Well my consultation was great. I got a chance to talk to one of your team about what I wanted. I said I didn’t want duck face lips but I wanted noticeably bigger lips. I showed a photo of how I wanted my lips and the expert said it was more than achievable.

Two weeks later, I came back to the clinic to have the treatment done. I must have been in the chair about half an hour. I can’t remember the name of the man who performed the treatment now, but he was lovely. The treatment was pain free and the side effects were minimal. Filler was injected into my lips but i couldn’t feel a thing. My lips felt numb for a while after. It was strange – they looked huge after but that was due to the swelling. After the immediate swelling calmed down my lips were the perfect size! I’m still so happy with the results. Selfies all the time now!

What would you say to anyone considering Lip Enhancement treatment?

For anyone who’s been picked on or teased, I say you shouldn’t have to change a part of you to please other people. However, if a change like this could genuinely make you happier, and you’re doing it for yourself, then definitely do it! If you want lips like Kylie Jenner then this is definitely the way!
