Although those who have lost hair rarely need treatment for medical purposes, getting your hair back can really grow back your confidence too. One of two hair loss treatments offered at Bamboo Aesthetics is our Platelet Rich Plasma treatment.

You may have heard about platelet rich plasma (PRP) with regard to the Vampire Facelift and the process here is not too dissimilar. The treatment itself is non-invasive and non-surgical. The treatment takes around 1.5 hours in time and is not only affordable but very effective.

The treatment works in two stages. First of all, a small sample of your blood needs to be taken. We use the patients blood so that the PRP is accepted back into the body with zero risk of rejection. After drawing your blood it is placed in a special machine that separates out the red blood cells, white blood cells, blood plasma and most importantly, the platelets. A new sample of your blood is then created in which there is a much more concentrated amount of platelets present.

The next stage in the treatment is for the PRP to be injected back into the scalp. very fine needles are used to to do this and the PRP will be injected across several areas of the scalp to maximise the effect of the treatment. The platelets have incredible cell growth properties and when injected into the scalp can stimulate dormant hair follicles to begin growing new hair once again.

You can expect to see the full results within three months of the treatment. This is the amount of time it takes for hair follicles to reach the growth stage of their lifecycle once again!
