To clear up any unanswered questions, we thought we’d put a blog together to answer some of the most commonly asked questions about thread lifts. What exactly is a Thread Lift?

A thread lift is a revolutionary treatment in which fine surgical threads are introduced to pre determined points of your face, under the subcutaneous layer of skin. These threads are advanced under this layer in order to lift sagging skin and stimulate the body’s healing process. As a foreign object has been inserted under the skin, collagen will be created in response, which in turn lifts and tighten skin weeks after the original treatment. Kerry’s Story

I’d heard about threads from one of the girls at work. Her son works at an aesthetics clinic. I knew I wanted a cosmetic treatment done but i didn’t know which. I decided to have a look at some clinics in Cardiff and that’s when I found Bamboo. I looked at your treatment pages and was torn between the Vampire Facelift and the Thread Lift. I heard anti-wrinkle treatment can get a bit addictive and I didn’t need another addiction, I tell you! So I came into the clinic just to pick up a leaflet. I was speaking with Natalie, one of the girls at the reception and after ten minutes she’d booked me in for a thread lift. She showed me some before and afters and I was stunned by the results. I couldn’t believe how much younger this one woman looked after treatment. She looked about 20 years younger I kid you not. I’m 43 so I knew I probably wasn’t going to look 20 years younger, but if I looked at least 10 years younger it would be money well spent.

The treatment itself was pretty painless. Dr. Dan put my mind at ease and talked me through the treatment as I was having it done. As soon as I got out the chair I noticed the difference. He told me to give it a few days to let my face heal a bit. The best bit was that he said the results would just get better and better over time because of the collagen.
