What Does the Vampire Facelift Involve?

what does the vampire facelift involve

Have you heard about the Vampire Facelift? Well, if you haven’t i’m sure the name has now grabbed your attention. Yes, there is blood involved but it is not nearly as gruesome as it sounds!

What Does the Vampire Facelift Involve?

With the likes of Kim Kardashian having endorsed the Vampire Facelift treatment, many people have rushed to cosmetic clinics across the world to follow suit. The trending treatment is not just some fad though, it seriously works and there is an entire science behind the treatment!

Introducing… Platelet Rich Plasma

In order to understand what the Vampire Facelift is, we first need to explain what Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP is. In short, this is a sample of blood that is highly concentrated in blood platelets. Each batch of PRP is created from the patient’s own blood. Why? Because this ensures that it will be accepted without a hitch when being injected back into the body.

How is PRP Obtained?

The initial stage is for a few syringes of the patient’s blood to be drawn. Once this has been done the science begins! The syringes are placed into a special machine called a centrifuge. Here, it is span around at a high speed which causes the components of the blood to separate according to their density.

The reason we do this is so that it is possible to draw out certain components of the blood. Your blood is made up of; red blood cells, white blood cells, blood platelets and blood plasma. Upon separating those out in the centrifuge, the blood platelets are obtained. These are then mixed into another sample of the patient’s blood. Doing this creates a version of your blood that is concentrated in your own blood platelets. This is more commonly known as, you guessed it, Platelet Rich Plasma.

What’s So Special About Platelets?

Well, the blood platelets have been proven to promote the growth of new cells. This is why PRP is used for various treatments from a solution to hair loss to professional athletes who require their torn muscles to heal more quickly. In our Vampire Facelift treatment we use the incredible growth properties of PRP to induce the development of new skin cells on your face. This provides a rejuvenated appearance that is not only fresh and more vibrant but gives your skin that bounce back that exemplifies a youthful glow.

Have More Questions?

As you read this article they may be many different questions popping into your head. Although we try to answer everything possible here, there may be things you still want to know. If that’s the case then there is no better way than to head on down to Bamboo in Cardiff to talk to award award winning practitioners in person. Luckily, we are currently offering FREE consultations where you can do exactly that.

Why Visit Bamboo for a Free Consultation?

Not only is Bamboo a five times award winning clinic but the experience of our clinical practitioners is second to none. We find that many of our patients know that they want to revitalise their look but are unsure as to what treatment will best serve them in achieving that goal. This is where the free consultation comes in very handy. A chat with Dr Dan enables them to understand the different procedures that will specifically work for them. This, in turn, gives them the right information to make the right decision as to how to progress.

What Did Jayne Think About the Vampire Facelift?

Jayne visited Bamboo last month to go for the Vampire Facelift. She had initially visited for a free consultation before deciding to proceed with the popular PRP treatment. Here’s hat she told us about her experience:

I’d had my eye on the cosmetic industry for some time. I was one of those floaters, I think they’re called! I basically kept looking into different treatments without making a decision as to what I wanted doing. All I knew was that I wanted to knock a few years off my age. I am now in my late forties and I looked somewhat older. It did knock my confidence a bit. Looking back at old pictures when I was young and fresh faced made me wish I could be young again. I know that isn’t completely achievable but I saw all these celebs looking great at my age and knew that they had been through some kind of treatment. That’s what first got me researching. I ended up torn between three procedures; anti-wrinkle injections, threaded Facelift and the Vampire Facelift. Upon looking at different clinics I found a few that offered all of these treatments, including Bamboo Aesthetics. I then saw that they offered free consultations and knew that I had to take my chance! I called up and was booked in to visit the next week. When I arrived I was offered a very warm greeting full of smiles. It made me feel great already. I then sat down with Dr Dan who talked me through each treatment and if they were suitable for me. On my way out I booked my appointment for the Vampire Facelift. All in all the procedure was painless and quick enough. But the results are what I want to shout about. They were simply fantastic. I was a little swollen at first but a day later and I started to see an improvement. As the next few days progressed I saw the years drop off my age. It was like the film, Benjamin Button haha! I would recommend this treatment to anyway looking for a more youthful face and to get that bounce back in your skin 🙂
